If you have recently broken a light globe, then you’ll need to replace said light globe. Sometimes light globes can smash or break for the following reasons:
- Kids were kicking the ball around and it impacted the ceiling fan.
- Someone got really angry and smashed a door closed, which caused the ceiling fan or globe to fall down from the ceiling.
- Someone really tall walked into the fan.
- You were trying to change the bulb and dropped the globe.
First, ensure that you turn off all the power to the fan. You may need to wait a few minutes after the power is off before you try to touch the bulbs. The bulbs may be hot, and it takes them a few minutes to cool down. Check the bulb to see if it’s still hot. You may want to use a tissue to remove it. Try not to touch the halogen globe as oils from your hands and dirt gets onto the globe.
Make sure you don’t use more wattage in the plug than it can allow for. If you’re not sure what wattage is supposed to be used, check the last bulb to determine how many watts it was measured at. If you have no idea, you can check the manual that came with the fan. If that fails, try searching for your Hunter ceiling fan manual online.
